October is Mental Health Awareness Month, with World Mental Health Day taking place on 10 October. This year’s theme is “Lived experiences heard real voices, real change.”
Mental health can affect how we think, feel and manage everyday life. But how do you know when it might be time to speak to someone?
Look out for changes such as:
- Feeling worried, stressed or overwhelmed most of the time.
- Struggling to sleep or constantly feeling tired.
- Losing interest in things you normally enjoy.
- Finding it difficult to concentrate.
- Withdrawing from friends, family or activities.
- Feeling like everyday responsibilities are becoming difficult to manage.
You don’t have to figure everything out on you own
Support is available

Taking care of your mental health isn't a sign of weakness. Speaking up is part of taking care of yourself.
If something doesn't feel right, start the conversation.
