Minimum qualifications and experience:
• Grade 12
• 2-3 years’ experience within billing environment
• Excellent problem solving skills and investigative by nature
• Ability to grasp new concepts easily
• Ability to think out of the box
• Self-motivated and performance driven
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Great interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Computer literacy
• Presentable individual with good work ethic
• Attention to detail, takes pride in every aspect of their work.
Advantageous:
• Having excel skills and knowledge/understanding of billing
Your daily activities will include:
• Work closely with the retentions agents in allocation of payments, ensuring all policies balances, and premium amounts are correct.
• Daily allocation of cash payments
• Regular communication with retentions agents regarding short payments/arrears and ensure timeous contact is made
• Attend to and resolve billing escalations
• Identify billing issues within the system and collate/prepare IT tickets
• Check, prepare and finalize premium refunds
• Attend to the Payments Email box daily – handle all customer queries by email and telephonically if necessary
• Check and finalize manual debits daily
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve escalations
• General assistance within the billing team where necessary
• Locking in/Submission of billing for debit orders
• Reconciling Premiums received
• Assisting payments received/due from Group Schemes.
